Bid adieu Bear Grylls, no tears, just go, finale previews for September 22

Ever wonder who films Bear leaping from helicopters, crossing crocodile infested rivers, sliding down ice falls and generally risk life and limb? (cough, underpaid cameramen)

Oh Bear, where did the time go. Watching you this season has made me oh, so very happy to be ensconced in my chaise far, far away from your tents and nature at its wild and woolliest.

Not that I don't appreciate nature, but I am a realist, a pragmatic finicky (some say pain-in-the ass) soul who is too old to rough it camping unless there are Sherpas, good liquor and proper beds involved.  Which pretty much eliminates straight-up camping. Then it becomes a weekender rental in Big Bear.
