TV and Oscar-nominated film documentarian Morgan Spurlock is to be honored by Life Rolls On Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for young people affected by spinal cord injury.

Also surf industry icon Bob Hurley (Hurley International) and civic leader Honorable Mark Ridley-Thomas (Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors) will be honored for their extraordinary contributions to the paralysis community at the 7th Annual “Night by the Ocean” gala to be held on October 17, at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif.

“As someone who has experienced a spinal cord injury, it is my pleasure to support Life Rolls On and the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation on this special night,” said Honorary Event Chairperson Brooke Burns. “I’ve attended several Night by the Ocean events and it is more than a fundraiser.  It’s an evening filled with hope, courage and possibilities.”

Actors Brooke Burns, Scott Caan (Hawaii-Five-0, Entourage), Jane Seymour and Robin Williams will serve as Honorary Chairpersons of the gala.  The event will be hosted by X Games and E! Entertainment’s television personality Sal Masekela.

Earlier this year, Life Rolls On became a subsidiary of the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

Background

The organization help young people living with paralysis live full, active lives by utilizing action sports as a platform to illustrate the infinite possibilities beyond paralysis.

Event
