Chelsea Handler did just that at the VMA's, she handled that raucous bunch of recovering drunks, addicts, creative geniuses and hat lovers at Sunday night (Sept. 12) MTV Video Music Awards.
Handler began the show with a pre-taped clip, embedded below, in a segment with a surprise cameo by actress Lindsay Lohan, who admonishes Handler: "Don't embarrass me."
Handler poked big sticks at all the MTV sacred cows: "My plan was to stay sober the entire show, but, in an interesting twist, I am as high as a kite. That's the last time I do a prayer circle with Snoop Dogg."
Even Gaga and Beyonce were not of limits: "Enough with the adult onesies."
Kanye had it coming too.
"It's time to address the big black elephant in the room," she said. "Where's Kanye?
Gaga cleaned up, despite a nasty op-ed penned by Camille Paglia.
