On this week’s episode, we pick up with the Housewives at the end of dinner after the grape stomp at the Salahi’s winery.
Mary sees that Tareq has something that he wants to say and asks him to spit it out. He brings up a prior incident where his car was stolen that contained various polo gear.
He implicates Mary’s daughter in the incident by stating that she was on Facebook referencing the car theft to friends. Tareq goes on to say that the FBI has been investigating the incident for the last six months and appears to be baiting an appalled Mary with the information.
Stacie jumps in and asks for more information so that Mary can clear her daughter’s name. Both Tareq and Michaele appeared oblivious to the sensitive nature of the subject and are more focused on the items they lost. Jason even jumps in to say that the Salahi’s are clearly missing the point that this is about someone’s daughter and the lost material things are ridiculous. Mary gets up from the table and makes an exit.
Back in the limo, Mary discusses the situation with Stacie and Jason. They agree with Mary that the information came completely out of left field. Mary is very upset that Tareq would bring this up without providing concrete evidence and in such an inappropriate way.
Lynda meets up with Stacie and Catherine at the spa. The subject turns to the allegations that Tareq made against Mary’s daughter. Lynda comments on the wackiness of Tareq and feels badly that they attacked Mary, particularly when she has made efforts to be their friend.
Back at her house, Mary discusses the accusations with her daughter, Lolly, and husband, Rich. Mary asks Lolly why Tareq would make this up and Lolly suggests because he’s “crazy.” Mary thinks that they should confront Tareq, but Lolly thinks that is just giving them the attention that they crave.
Michaele goes out to dinner with her personal assistant, Jen. Michaele starts talking about Cat’s rudeness and wonders what she ever did to deserve this. She goes on to say that she often feels like Cinderella to Mary, Cat, and Lynda’s evil stepmother and stepsisters. Michaele also discusses Lolly’s involvement in the car theft and blames the topic being brought up on Mary. She even laughs about how ridiculous it was for them to post about the theft on Facebook.
After some investigation on their parts, Mary and Rich determine that there is no incriminating evidence or information that would implicate Lolly in the theft. The only thing Lolly did do was post a comment on Facebook. They are both upset since this means that Tareq has completely made up the story.
Lynda gives Stacie a call to ask for her advice regarding her house hunting. Lynda tells her that she has made an offer on a house in McLean, VA. Stacie is surprised that Lynda has made an offer on an house that is outside of the city.
Cat meets with political lobbyist, Edwina Rogers for tea. Edwina and Cat make some polite conversation about Cat’s husband and her upcoming book. Edwina mentions that she is working on healthcare reform and Cat immediately makes a dig by saying that a Republican lobbyist for healthcare sounds like an “oxymoron.”
Cat asks if Edwina would like to pay for the $23,000 worth of medical bills that she has amassed since she has been in the States. Cat feels strongly about the dismal state of American healthcare. Cat goes on to question her about how she voted in the previous election. Edwina admits that she voted straight down the Republican ticket. Cat asks her if she feels if Sarah Palin would have made a good vice president and is surprised when Edwina says that Palin would have been fine. Edwina finally gets to the point of the meeting and invites Cat and her husband to an event she is hosting for healthcare reform.
Ebong and Lynda go out to dinner with Stacie and Jason. Conversation turns to Lynda’s new house in Virginia. Lynda insists that she’ll only be out there for a few short years. Stacie shares that she recently found out that her birth father is Nigerian and asks Ebong a few questions about Nigeria since that is where he is from as well. Ebong is able to shed some light for her.
Lynda expresses that her heart goes out to Stacie’s birth mother because it must have been a difficult decision to give Stacie up because of racial ignorance. The group even talk about Lynda and Ebong’s biracial relationship. Lynda answers eloquently by stating that a when you close your eyes, a man is a man and a woman is a woman.
Lynda takes her family out to their new house for the first time. The house has an impressive floor plan with a great kitchen. She has big plans to renovate the master bedroom. Her children love the house, but Lynda expresses her concern that the house has no security. They talk about getting a dog that can offer them a little more protection.
Stacie and Jason get ready to attend Edwina’s healthcare event with Cat. Cat gets her daughters to help her get dressed for the event. She plans to dress as inappropriately as possible thinking it’ll bring some flavor to an otherwise stuffy event. Stacie and Jason discuss that this will be the first time they run into the Salahi’s since the dinner incident. Stacie feels uncomfortable about the entire situation. Meanwhile, Cat’s daughters keep bringing out some wild outfits for her to consider.
At the party, Michaele and Tareq are making the rounds as Stacie and Jason arrive. Everyone acts like nothing has happened even though there is some palpable tension.
The group enjoys talking to Councilman David Catania when Cat and her husband make an entrance. Cat is dressed up in a Sarah Palin costume. Michaele makes a snide comment about how people may like Cat better in her disguise. Suddenly, we see a stretcher carrying Edwina out of the hotel although her staffer makes up another excuse for her. Apparently she was suffering from vertigo.
Cat confronts Michaele’s assistant about her comment from the grape stomp. Cat is clearly very upset about the comment and Jen deflects it by saying she was merely referring to the comment that Cat made when she used the word “bitchy.” Michaele runs over to support Jen and launches into a counterattack. Cat can’t take it anymore and decides to walk away.
