Lots of news from NBC's 'Saturday Night Live' as former cast member Rachel Dratch gave birth to a baby boy.
The ex “Saturday Night Live” player had her baby, named Eli, in New York City. Dratch, 44, is friends with former SNLer Amy Poehler, who recently gave birth to second son named Abel .
SNL's Will Forte and Jenny Slate both will not be returning this season. Slate joined the cast in 2009 and dropped the F-bomb during her very first show. She played bit parts in sketches for the remainder of the 2009 season.
Also four new feature players were to the cast: actor/comedian Taran Killam, Chicago-based comedians Paul Brittain, Vanessa Bayer and newcomer Jay Pharoah.
The long running series will begin its 36th season on September 25: former cast member and current NBC 'Parks and Recreation' star Amy Poehler will host and Katy Perry will be the musical guest.
