After a powerfully emotional four episode arc on FX's season three of "Sons of Anarchy," Emmy winner Hal Holbrook has booked a multi-episode arc on NBC’s promising new drama, "The Event" according to Entertainment Weekly.
Holbrook plays Nate, the father of "Sons" matriarch Gemma Teller Morrow (Katey Sagal) who is a retired reverend afflicted with Alzheimer's. His character is a widower, and his performance all the more poignant considering he recently lost his real-life wife, actress Dixie Carter.
"The Event" premieres on Sept. 20.
