Eminem will be a VMA Performer, preview

MTV announced today that Eminem has been added to the impressive list of performers for this year’s Video Music Awards.

Joining Kanye, Justin Bieber, Drake, B.o.B and Florence + The Machine, Eminem continues his comeback by appearing at the 27th Annual VMA Awards Show Airs Live From Nokia Theater L.A. Live In Los Angeles On Sunday, September 12 at 9:00PM

Known for his staged bits with Sacha Baron Cohen, his harsh life depicted in 8 Mile, his ex Kim who he rips apart in his lyrics, Eminem is sure to ignite a twitter storm at this year’s show.

With a #1 album on the Billboard charts, his #1 single “Love The Way You Lie” and 8 VMA nominations, Eminem joins an incredible line-up of performers including Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Drake, B.o.B and Florence + The Machine.  Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Ashley Greene, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo are confirmed to present. As previously announced, comedienne Chelsea Handler will host the show. 

The “2010 MTV Video Music Awards” will air live from Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers and presenters on a later date.

Viewers can vote for general VMA categories, including “Best New Artist,” by visiting vma.mtv.com. In addition, text voting for "Best New Artist" is open to all wireless carrier subscribers by texting BNA to 97979. Voting continues through the show, live on September 12.  Also, Verizon Wireless subscribers can vote in all categories by texting VMA to 97979 (standard message rates apply.)
