Neil Patrick Harris, John Lithgow, Betty White nab Creative Emmys, the full list

Creative Arts Emmys are the technical and crafts awards doled out a week prior to the main event Emmys.

Beloved American actress Betty White took an Emmy for her hosting gig on "Saturday Night Live" at Saturday afternoon's 2010 (August 21) Primetime Creative Arts Emmys, and John Lithgow took a well-deserved Guest Actor in a Drama award for his character "Arthur" the Trinity Killer on "Dexter."

Neil Patrick Harris took the honor for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his appearance on "Glee" and for the host of the Outstanding Special Class Program, the Tony Awards.

Ann-Margret took Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for "Law  & Order: SVU."

HBO shined with many nominations and awards, especially for "Temple Grandin and "The Pacific," the effort latter won six. The World War II Pacific theater miniseries won two awards for makeup and others for casting, art direction, sound mixing and visual effects.

The show was staged at the Nokia Theatre in downtown Los Angeles.

The Creative Arts Emmys include honors for casting, art direction, choreography, cinematography, costumes, hairstyling, makeup, editing, lighting, music, sound, visual effects, stunts and technical direction. Also awards for writing and directing are handed out, as are the Guest Actor and Guest Actress categories.

The Primetime Emmy show is also to be at the Nokia Theatre and will be broadcast live on NBC. The Creative Arts Emmys will be shown on E! Entertainment Televison on Friday, August 27.
