Will Chelsea Handler prove her mettle as a taker of piss from the loftiest of pop culture Swamis? Will she dish it to Kanye, Diddy and Ke$ha or play nice?
We hope for the sake of good television she hits them with both barrels, the way Stephen Colbert did years ago to the political elite at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
Scathing barbs the swag gifting suite set of folks never saw coming.
Will she serve up some South Park styled-Ferrari Cake to Diddy? Will Chuy be in the wings? Her frequent guest and hilarious comic Jim Norton nearby for support? We have questions.
The 27th Annual Awards Show Airs Live From Nokia Theater L.A. in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12 at 9:00PM (Live ET/Tape Delayed PT)
Handler is described by MTV as a host who will "deliver her comedic edge, pop culture wit and hilarious social commentary to this year’s show."
Hopefully.
Her target-rich fodder includes Kanye West, Justin Bieber, Drake, B.o.B and Florence + The Machine. Ke$ha, Nicki Minaj, Emma Stone, Penn Badgley, Trey Songz, Ashley Greene, Selena Gomez and Ne-Yo and more.
The “2010 MTV Video Music Awards” will air live from Nokia Theater L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 9PM (Live ET/Tape delayed PT.) MTV will announce additional performers and presenters on a later date.
“This has been a huge year for hip-hop and rap, and it is well-known that I have the closest ties with these communities - musically and sexually,” said Chelsea Handler. “I am to rap and hippity-hop, what Warren Buffet is to finance, minus the sex.”

Monsters and Critics will be there Tweeting and snapping away photos with our Galaxy S Samsung Captivate phone, one of the night's sponsors.
