Sarah Palin's curse: Levi Johnston is deathproof on TV, series being shopped
By April MacIntyre Aug 10, 2010, 4:32 GMT

Bristol Palin, 19, announced in a gossip magazine that she has gotten engaged again to Levi Johnston, 20, the formerly-estranged father of her baby. It went south after that. Now Levi is shopping a series. EPA/SHAWN THEW
Kathy Griffin knew a good thing when she rooked an out-of-his-depth Levi Johnston, as she tongue-in-cheek babbled to Larry King and other chat shows about their love igloo in Wasilla.
Sarah Palin had just about shook out the hockey player out of her hair and her daughter's life when like a bad penny, the kid who posed for Playboy and told the world alleged dirty little secrets of the Palins at home, is now set to run for Mayor of Wasilla.
Palin's albatross is now inserting himself into public service.
Johnston is only 20, is running for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska and he is starring in "Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor's Office."
The statement, as published by Us magazine, Variety and a host of news websites, "The docu-soap will follow the ever controversial, headline making, matinee idol, handsome father of one as he embarks on a run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska... [the] series will chronicle a 'no-holds-barred' period in Levi’s tumultuous life; co-raising his son Tripp, looking for love, and taking care of business for his fellow Wasillians. He will give us a real inside look into who he is as a father, a skilled hunter, an avid dirt biker, and of course his journey down the road of small town politics -- right after he gets his high school diploma."
"Levi thinks he can take the office by representing the real citizens of Wasilla...If elected, Levi promises to serve his full term. Tank Jones will serve as Levi’s campaign manager."
Ah, Tank Jones, Johnston's "Big Black" to his "Rob Dyrdek."
So far the series has not been scooped up by any network yet, but if you want to take a guess, Twitter me HERE and the person who correctly picks the network will win a new DVD of "The Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town" signed by the whole cast at the Television Critics Association summer tour. Make sure to follow me and hashtag your guess #LeviJohnstonMayor (so I can follow you back too), and first correct answer by date of posting will be contacted by me directly. Good luck!
