'Glee's' Sue Sylvester's mom cast: Carol Burnett

Iconic TV star Carol Burnett is cast as Sue Sylvester's (Jane Lynch) mom on FOX hit series "Glee."
Burnett will play Sue Sylvester's mother in an episode of "Glee" this fall.
The buzz began at Comic Con and then continued at the TCA press tour in Beverly Hills. Creator Ryan Murphy dropped the hint at the panel at the Con that he was keen on Carol Burnett when asked what guest stars were wanted.
Ausiello at Entertainment weekly broke the news that Burnett is going to be making an appearance as Sylvester's Nazi-hunting mother.
Multi Emmy winning Burnett was a variety show goddess on her “The Carol Burnett Show” back in the 1970s.
“Glee” will also have a Britney-themed episode, a possible Paul McCartney homage and a post-Super Bowl spectacular honoring a yet unknown pop star.
