The ex marine kicked in his discipline gene and decided enough was enough, he wanted to reclaim his health and improve his quality of life; "I just got sick of being fat," he told Us Weekly.
Carey shared with Us that cardio and consistency doing it has whittled the fat off his frame. He also said that he is no longer diabetic.
"My fiancee has a 5-year old, and wow, I'd love to see him graduate. I'd love to be able play with him without getting tired, enjoy my life and watch him grow."
Carey joked with Us that the only food he really does shun these days are donuts.
This week also saw a bit of puffed up reporting over former "Price is Right" host Bob Barker's alleged swipe at Carey. Animal rights activist Barker, 86, was caught on tape by TMZ saying that Carey was a rather boring host: "I tried to make the show really exciting, and he doesn't do that. He just plays the games."
Barker clarified his remarks to Entertainment Weekly.. "I would not criticize Drew Carey. I would not criticize this show...I have a sizable royalty that I am paid every year this show is on, and it’s going on for years. I would be an absolute fool."
