Starz Edge honors Dennis Hopper July 29

Dennis Hopper was never fallow, as his complex character Ben Cendars was fond to say on the series "Crash" that aired on Starz for two seasons.

Dennis Hopper - a true Hollywood icon and Renaissance man will be remembered on Starz Edge, Thursday, July 29 beginning at 8:00 p.m. (et/pt).

The Academy Award nominated actor, director, artist and photographer who passed away on May 29th, recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and currently has a retrospective of his artistic work at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.
He starred for two seasons as legendary record producer Ben Cendars on Starz’s first original drama series “Crash.” Starz Edge will show five episodes from the show, supplemented by interviews with Hopper and “Crash” cast members. In addition, his photography and art will be shown as well as remembrances from some of his longtime friends.

In a career that spanned over half a century, Dennis Hopper bridged the gap between old and new Hollywood, working with actors such as James Dean, Marlon Brando, Sean Penn, Viggo Mortensen and directors like George Stevens, Nicholas Ray, David Lynch, Francis Coppola, Tony Scott and Julian Schnabel, who is the curator of his Los Angeles show.
His first directing effort "Easy Rider" forever changed the history and direction of the independent film.
Starz Entertainment airs in total more than 1,000 movies and original series every month across its pay TV channels.
