FX is making my day with the revealed Fall slate.
Excellent off-kilter comedy "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" and the best drama on TV (suck it Mad Men), "Sons of Anarchy" are just around the corner.
FX's three hit original shows return in September, and a brand new drama series is premiering as well.
While the matriarch Gemma (Katey Sagal) is on the lam, the search for baby Abel takes our distraught SAMCRO to Eire, as Kurt Sutter's hugely epic American tale of bikers and the law delivers an Irish boiled dinner of intrigue and mayhem, "Sons of Anarchy" kicks off the network's fall season on Tuesday, September 7th, followed by FX's new drama series "Terriers" from "The Shield's" Shawn Ryan starring Donal Logue, debuting the following evening on September 8th.
"Terriers" features the cool pairing of Donal Logue and Michael Raymond-James, and after watching two episodes for me feels more a drama than "comedic drama," although there are amusing scenes throughout.
The Season 6 premiere of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" airs on Thursday, September 16th, and "The League" returns for its sophomore outing that same night.
FX's fall premiere dates:
Tuesday, September 7
10-11 p.m. Sons of Anarchy
Wednesday, September 8
10-11p.m. Terriers
Thursday, September 16
10-10:30 p.m. It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia
10:30-11 p.m. The League
