Joan Allen and Heidi Klum nab noms for Lifetime

Lifetime Television earned a respectable 11 2010 Emmy Award nominations this morning.

Their original film, "Georgia O’Keeffe" nabbed nine nods, including Outstanding Made for Television Movie and its star Joan Allen for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie. 

Lifetime’s popular unscripted series "Project Runway" was nominated for Outstanding Reality-Competition Program, while its host Heidi Klum was nominated for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program.

Additional nominations for Georgia O’Keeffe include:

Outstanding Directing for a Miniseries, Movie or a Dramatic Special (Bob Balaban);

Outstanding Art Direction for a Miniseries of Movie (Stephen Altman, John Bucklin and Helen Britten);

Outstanding Costumes for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Michael Dennison and Frances Vega);

Outstanding Casting for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (David Rubin, Richard Hicks and Angelique Midthunder);

Outstanding Hairstyling for a Miniseries or a Movie (Enid Arias and Geordie Sheffer);

Outstanding Makeup for a Miniseries or a Movie (Non-Prosthetic) (Dorothy Pearl and Kelley Gore Jefferson);

Outstanding Music Composition for a Miniseries, Movie or a Special (Original Dramatic Score) (Jeff Beal).

Georgia O’Keeffe chronicles the turbulent, 20-year love affair between celebrated artist Georgia O’Keeffe (Allen) and photographer Alfred Stieglitz (Jeremy Irons).  Allen also served as an executive producer of the movie alongside Joshua D. Maurer and Alixandre Witlin, while Anthony Mark produced.  Directed by Bob Balaban from a script by Pulitzer Prize and WGA Award winner Michael Cristofer, Georgia O’Keeffe premiered on Lifetime on September 19, 2009.  The movie was produced by Sony Pictures Television.

Hosted by supermodel and fashion maven Heidi Klum, Project Runway provides budding designers with an opportunity to launch their careers in fashion, under the watchful eyes of mentor and Liz Claiborne Chief Creative Officer Tim Gunn and judges Michael Kors and Nina Garcia. 

The competition reality show is 2010’s number one rated and most watched competitive reality program on ad-supported cable among Women 18-49, Women 25-54, Women 18+, Adults 18-49, Adults 18+ and Households. 

The program’s eighth season will debut on July 29th.
