Science Channel on fire with Morgan Freeman series, new episodes

Late in life, actor Morgan Freeman, like another senior actor, Betty White, can do no wrong and is more popular than ever.
His excellent delivery and command of frame have benefited Discovery network's
Science Channel earn the network’s best quarter ever.
"Through the Wormhole with Morgan Freeman" is concluding its first season by seeking answers to two mind-bending questions: “What Are We Really Made Of?” and what lies “Beyond the Darkness”? The closing episodes invite viewers to debate the provocative ideas and theories posed by the cutting-edge research of world-leading scientists.
The series continues posting triple-digit gains vs. the network's 2Q10 prime premiere average in HH, P2+ and P/M/W 25-54 and 18-49, catapulting the network to deliver its best quarter ever in prime among HH, P2+ and M25-54. In addition, the series debut on June 9, was Science Channel's #1 telecast ever in HH (483k).
“What Are We Really Made Of?”, premiering Wednesday, July 21 at 10 PM ET
This episode investigates a potential seismic shift in mankind’s understanding of the universe and the nature of reality itself. As scientists try to recreate the first instants of creation with the Large Hadron Collider, what they could find may validate long-held theories about how the world works and what we are made of.
“Beyond the Darkness”, premiering Wednesday July 28 at 10 PM ET
This episode, viewers are invited on the journey to find out about dark matter – a strange, unknown substance affecting the way galaxies move. Scientists think there must be five times as much dark matter as regular matter out there. But what is it? And what is it made of? Apparently dark matter is not the only strange substance in the universe. A newly discovered force, called dark energy, seems to be pushing apart the very fabric of the cosmos.
