Nancy Botwin broke bad well before AMC's anti-hero Walt.
Mary-Louise Parker has grown the role of a suburban widow Botwin into a wily femme fatale of sorts currently on the lam, shielding her braniac son from her baby's Mexican cartel father.
August 16 cannot come quick enough for the femmes of Showtime. Their new series "The Big C" starring Laura Linney premieres that night as well.
Adding cache is that the network has inked excellent guest stars to round out the percolating cast that includes a very funny Kevin Nealon. Celia (Elizabeth Perkins) is no longer part of the ensemble sadly.
The season's guest stars include Richard Dreyfuss, an unexpected character from Nancy Botwin’s (Mary-Louise Parker) past. Eric Lange is also confirmed as Ellis Tate, an old classmate of Nancy's.
Previously announced guests for the series are "Terminator 2" star Linda Hamilton and the film "Fargo's" badass quiet killer, Peter Stormare, plus established character/guest stars Alanis Morissette and Jennifer Jason Leigh.
