'Entourage' feels less effervescent despite Eminem, Aguilera and Cleese cameos

HBO's "Entourage" feels a bit less spirited this season, as the guys are settling into their respective roles. Ari is the new "King" and his wife is now on high alert thanks to one badly timed hug.
People in glass offices should be more aware.
Lloyd is finally throwing his weight around now, after years of being an indentured underpaid slave to Ari - even with a law degree from a fancy University!
Even the resident happy-go-lucky Turtle is leaner, meaner and has a business and stable of fillies who ferry people in a uniform black Benz fleet.
Drama is tightening down the screws on his life, as is E, who is finally bagging the elusive Sloane. And Vince, well, Vince's crew of boys are turning into men, and how much longer can we believe his crew will be stuck to him like glue for the next Hollywood adventure?
In real-life Hollywood, the sharp fame and money gap makes for bad bedfellows amongst peers, also it reaps fired agents, dismissed flacks, dumped managers and backstabbing galore. The real deal in Tinseltown is much more intricate and quite frankly dismal than the effervescent tale of Queens' boys made good that producers would have you believe.
The bright spot for the final season of "Entourage" is that the guest stars will add a bit of needed juice to perk up the cast, who are trudging a bit in cement boots this seventh run.
Guest stars confirmed are Minka Kelly, John Cleese, and pro athletes Drew Brees, Ryan Howard, Jordan Farmar, and Kevin Love. Musicians Eminem and Christina Aguilera will appear on "Entourage" as themselves.
Eminem is in the finale and is in a record party scene, according to one producer who spoke to a tabloid. He reportedly has an uncomfortable moment with Vince.
The finale will air on September 12, 2010.
