CNN announced last week that Eliot Spitzer, aka "Client 9" per Ashley Dupre, the prostitute he kept company with, is to have a talk show in the prime-time 8 p.m. slot.
The ex governor of New York was the bane of Wall Street, which he kept close tabs on. He was connected to a prostitution ring back in 2008.
Spitzer admitted in the press that he was Client 9 of Emperor's Club VIP, and apologized to New Yorkers and his family for the transgressions.
After Spitzer laid low for several months, he appeared in print writing a piece for the Washington Post on financial regulation.
His call girl Ashley Dupre began writing her column for the New York Post.
In 2009 he was the subject of lengthy articles in Newsweek and Vanity Fair. Then he appeared on HBO's 'Real Time With Bill Maher.'
Spitzer will cohost the CNN show with Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker.
