Showtime's "Dexter" knocked it out of the park for the fourth season. Now Showtime and Apple have released last year’s dozen episodes on iTunes, available now. So, if you can’t wait for the August 17th home video release, get it now for about $2 an episode.
Dexter Season 4 on iTunes
Orphaned at the age of three and harboring a traumatic secret, Dexter was adopted by a Miami police officer named Harry Morgan, who recognized Dexter's sociopathic tendencies and taught him to channel his gruesome passion for thrill killing by giving it a constructive direction: killing people who deserve it. Most have slipped through the justice system, due to loopholes and technicalities in the law or were never apprehended.
Last season ended with Dex discovering Rita (Julie Benz) in a bathtub of blood. When we see him next, he'll be dealing with the fallout from her death.
Showtime has renewed Dexter for a fifth season, which is set to premiere September 26, 2010.
Julie Benz will somehow return in some scenes, and Julia Stiles will guest star in 10 episodes as a new woman in Dexter's life. Shawn Hatosy will appear in a multiple episode arc too as a villain and "The Tudors" star Maria Doyle Kennedy will also join the cast of Dexter as an Irish nanny. April Lee Hernandez will also be seen as a police officer, presumably working in Miami Metro’s homicide department.
Are you in for the new season? Psyched as I am for one of my favorite shows to return?

Gather up: One lucky Dexter fan who follows me on Twitter and tells me their favorite character from "Dexter" with #Dexter in the message has a chance to win a Bobble Head Dexter, courtesy of Showtime.
Straight from the hit series “Dexter” comes everyone’s favorite serial killer Dexter Morgan immortalized in a 7.5” tall bobblehead. M&C is giving one (1) Bobble Head away to a lucky fan.
The winner will be announced September 1, 2010 via Twitter
The details in this bobblehead define Dexter perfectly. From the slightly wrinkled white shirt spotted with tell-tail blood to the carving knife behind his back, this bobblehead captures the essence of Dexter's dark nature.
