Danielle Staub takes Bravo Housewives' franchise to new lows

Bankruptcy, evictions, catfights, lies and now a sex tape and a defamation lawsuit is the latest news from the lucrative "Real Housewives" franchise for Bravo channel, who spins out tales of real women amped up for voyeuristic pleasure from Atlanta, New York, Orange County and the cherry on the icing: New Jersey.

It is a New Jersey hausfrau named Danielle Staub, 47, that has lit up the web with a revelation that the "wife" is starring in her very own sex tape, the requisite PR and branding accessory for any D-Listed entity these days.

Danielle Staub from "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars in a recently made sex (allegedly filmed September 2009) tape per TMZ, tipped by Hustler Inc., which claims Staub is in "a 75 minute tape, featuring Jersey's most hated Housewife and mother of two in a naked romp with a mystery man."

TMZ reports that the tape is set to be released on June 14.

Added misery for Staub also includes a lawsuit from Kevin Maher, Staub's ex who is claiming Danielle is "insane"  and is fighting her allegations of "horrific" crimes: rape, assault, even killing her dog.  Maher admits he and Staub were heavily into cocaine at the time of their union.

Usmagazine writes that Staub's claims will be addressed in court with a $5 million lawsuit against the Bravo star.

Maher, who took a lie-detector test, tells Usmagazine: "that I raped her on a bed of broken glass, inserted a handgun in her vagina and played Russian roulette....[that] I killed her dog...The list just goes on and on...The woman is insane."

Maher tells Us that Staub's dog killing story has gone through "three different variations" to different people. "One was that I hung it...the other one was that I shot the dog. The other one was that I shot her, the bullet passed by her and killed the dog."

"She is without conscience," Maher tells Us. "She's calculating. I believe that Danielle Staub sold her soul to Satan for fame. Her children are suffering from it...her past is going to catch up to her very soon."
