Sandra Bullock honored by Spike, appears at Guy's Choice awards

Sandra Bullock has emerged from her self-imposed exile since the news of her husband Jesse James' indiscretions made headline news a few month ago. 

Spike channel's "Guy's Choice" awards were taped tonight at the Sony Pictures lot, and stars were out in force to attend the fourth annual awards which premieres Sunday, June 20th at 10 PM, ET/PT/

Bullock shocked the crowd with a surprise appearance on stage during Spike TV’s “Guys Choice” event tonight.

Bullock, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress this year for her role in “The Blind Side,” accepted the “Troops Choice” Award for Entertainer of The Year. The award was voted on by members of the military worldwide exclusively on the Spike website.

The audience greeted Bullock with an extended standing ovation as she appeared on stage with representatives of the US Army, the US Marine Corps, and the US Coast Guard.

“Iron Man 2” star Robert Downey, Jr. presented Bullock with her award and also announced that “Guys Choice” is the kick-off event honoring America's men and women in uniform via the network's year-round pro-social initiative, “Spike Salutes.”  Spike aims to raise awareness, garner support, and raise funds in support of our brave servicemen and women.

Also in attendance were Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, George Clooney, Robert De Niro, LeBron James, Ben Affleck, and “Iron Man 2” star Scarlett Johansson.  Additional appearances included: James Gandolfini, Sylvester Stallone, Jessica Biel, Bradley Cooper, Samuel L. Jackson, Chris Rock, Brooklyn Decker, Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Liam Neeson, Sir Ben Kingsley, Ozzy Osbourne, Charlize Theron and many more.
