Rocker and reality star Bret Michaels might be considered to replace Simon Cowell.
After Guy Oseary shot down the Madonna rumors, and most people chillled to the idea of Jamie Foxx, the likely new hot rumor is the "Celebrity Apprentice" winner.
Simon Cowell replacement speculation is now focused on rocker Bret Michaels possibly throwing his bandana into the ring.
"Actually, he'd be good," Cowell confessed to "Extra's" Terri Seymour. "He's funny. He's got experience. He'd be a good choice -- and you saw the audience reaction to him. They love him."
"That's what I'm saying!," Michaels laughed backstage with "Extra" after his great "Idol" perfomance. "Let's just say that I was to slip into Simon's chair. I'm sorry he has to go but sometimes things happen. Provided my health holds up, I think I'm taking that chair next year!"
As to others rumored to be in contention, Cowell is certain it won't be Madonna or Elton John. "Look, Elton and Madonna are not going to do this job. Because they won't give up the time. It just won't happen."
