Life begins at 31 for Michael Ventrella.

Underneath all the weight emerged a handsome fit guy: Michael Ventrella is the ‘Biggest Loser‘ for NBC.

Months of hard work paid off as Ventrella - beginning his journey at 526 pounds -now weighs 262 pounds.  Mike was the heaviest contestant in “Biggest Loser” history and shattered the record for the most weight lost. He burned off 264 pounds, beating Danny Cahill’s record of 239 pounds from last year.

“At 526 pounds, nobody at that weight can ever feel any sense of hope,” he told the TODAY show’s Meredith Vieira in a Wednesday morning interview. “You feel like any day is your day, is your time: You’re going to die.”

Michael resolved to lose weight and get fit when he signed on for 18 weeks of fitness training, and is now $250,000 richer beating Ashely Johnston and Daris George.
