Poison front man and “Celebrity Apprentice” winner Bret Michaels made a stop at NBC’s “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (Monday-Friday, 11:35 p.m. ET) on Thursday, May 25 to talk about everything that has transpired in the last few months, and take a trip down glam rock memory lane too.
Michaels began by talking about the night that he suffered his near fatal brain hemorrhage, explaining that he was watching television, flipping between “Sports Center” and “Busty Cops 3”:
“I was sitting there on the couch and the next thing I know -- and it was so, so strange -- is all of a sudden it just felt like someone had shot me right in the back of the head. That’s exactly what it felt like. It was the most painful thing I’d ever felt.” Michaels continued, “I couldn’t move my head. I thought I was paralyzed. I didn’t know what happened. My heart and my adrenaline…the only thing I could think of is I did not want my family -- my daughters -- to wake up and see me lying unconscious on the floor. Very scary.”
When Leno asked Michaels if he had put together a bucket list he joked, “Yes, I’d like to see the end of that movie (‘Busty Cops 3’)!”
Jay also unearthed some great old local cable channel footage of Poison back in the day.
“The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” is from Big Dog Productions in association with Universal Media Studios. Debbie Vickers is the executive producer.
