On this season's Californication, the Showtime series that stars David Duchovny as a tortured writer (Hank Moody) whose life is complicated by his lack of discipline and sense of doing right by the woman he loves, a new character is introduced.
Hank's daughter Becca (Madeleine Martin) is growing up and is disillusioned by her dad's behavior, and his best friend Charlie Runkle (Evan Handler) has a full plate managing his faltering marriage to Marci (Pam Adlon).

Guest stars this season include the normally buttoned-up and slick Rob Lowe, who has taken on a Brad Pitt "Billy Goat Brad" look.
Showtime released a still showing what we can expect to see.
Guest star Rob Lowe plays unpredictable mega-watt movie star ‘Eddie Nero,’ a contender to play Hank (series star David Duchovny) in the film version of his blockbuster novel. Lowe, who now appears in NBC's "Parks & Recreation" will star in three episodes of the hit comedy series’ upcoming 4th season.
