Agatha Christie's Miss Marple begins May 23 on PBS

Tune in for rabid mystery fans, some excellent telly tonight to watch as PBS rolls out Agatha Christie's Miss Marple, Series V On MASTERPIECE Mystery!

The series begins this Sunday, May 23, and airs on June 20 and 27, 2010 at 9pm ET on PBS.

Hosted by British actor Alan Cumming, acclaimed British actress Julia McKenzie (Cranford) returns as the beloved spinster sleuth Miss Marple in three new episodes of the popular Agatha Christie's Miss Marple series.

This season McKenzie is joined this season by a top-notch lineup including Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous) as Miss Marple's flamboyant friend; Lindsay Duncan (Alice in Wonderland) as a famed Hollywood actress; Stephen Dillane (God on Trial) as a determined Scotland Yard inspector, and Sharon Small (The Inspector Lynley Mysteries) and Toby Stephens (Sharpe's Challenge, Jane Eyre) as a troubled married couple.

Each episode of Miss Marple, Series V, will be available to view online at pbs.org/masterpiece for 14 days following its premiere.
