NBC Nightly News this week will feature an actor or artist discussing their personal commitment to an important cause for the broadcast's “Making a Difference” segments.
The primetime newscast will feature the charitable involvement of Sally Field, Ben Affleck, Eva Longoria Parker, Usher and Will Ferrell each night this week.
For each show, an actor or artist will discuss their personal commitment to philanthropy as part of the broadcast’s “Making a Difference” — a regular feature on Nightly News that profiles ordinary people doing extraordinary things to help their neighbors.
Throughout the special week, one-on-one interviews with each celebrity will combined with visits to some of the people whose lives they have touched.
On last night’s segment, anchor and managing editor Brian Williams spent time with "Brothers and Sisters" star Sally Field to talk about her support of Vital Voices -- a non-profit organization that fosters women’s rights and identifies, trains, and empowers emerging women leaders in emerging democracies around the globe.
