Jake Gyllenhaal will be on the next Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, which airs Fridays, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on BBC AMERICA
On May 14, Jonathan hosts best supporting Academy award nominee for Brokeback Mountain, Jake Gyllenhaal, promoting his new film Prince of Persia.
When asked about his more toned physique, Jake says he enjoyed bulking up for Prince Of Persia, “When I got the muscles...I felt great.”
Jake also discusses his next film project, portraying a Viagra salesman. He tells Jonathan he doesn’t need to take the little blue pill as he has “no problems in that department.”
Jake reveals his little known hobbies of building furniture and cooking - he most recently built a dining room table for his mom. And Jonathan takes him up on his cooking skills by challenging Jake to “whip something up” from leftovers in the staff kitchen.
Also joining Jonathan is American Idol alum and last year’s runner-up, Adam Lambert, who discusses his eccentric look and sexuality.
On his sexuality, Adam says his parents were understanding and cool about him coming out. He also says that he struggled with his weight when he was younger and didn’t get slim until he came out, “I was a porker, eating my feelings... I changed my habits, finally embraced who I was and felt better.”
And Adam remains defiant about the controversial kiss during a live televised performance, “I felt it was really important not to make an apology, I stood my ground.” And when asked about taking criticism from Simon on American Idol, Adam says, “I respect his honesty...I didn't take it personally.” Before leaving the couch, Adam sings a verse from his single What Do You Want From Me.
Sir Alan Sugar also joins Jonathan who asks him to explain how the British House of Lords works, his new TV project Junior Apprentice and to round out the show a performance by Brooklyn based indie pop band The Drums.
