On Friday night's "Real Time with Bill Maher" - comic Sarah Silverman continued to clarify her Twitter war with Chris Anderson and Steve Case over her "Retard" comedy bit that left a private function speechless.

Silverman told Maher she was invited to speak at TED, a conference on technology, education and design, organized by Chris Anderson.

Silverman confirmed the website TechCrunch's account that Silverman kept using the term "retarded" over and over again in her routine, which was about wanting to adopt a "retarded child."

Silverman said,   "The only problem with adopting a retarded child is that the retarded child, when you are 80 is well, still retarded and that she wouldn't enjoy the freedoms of setting them free at age 18, so she was only going to adopt a retarded child with a terminal illness so it has an expiration date, because who would adopt a retarded child with a terminal illness? Well, someone who was awesome like her."

Maher brought up the controversy that the TED powers that be did not appreciate Sarah's humor.

TED organizer and journalist Chris Anderson took to Twitter to complain and say he made a mistake booking her. (He has since deleted the tweet).

"I was so excited and I had my manager double-check to make sure they knew who I was, said Silverman to Maher, who then went on to say Anderson tweeted she was "god-awful" to his million plus followers.

Silverman admonished Anderson via Twitter for his reaction.

Co-founder of AOL Steve Case also tweeted that Silverman was an inappropriate choice for TED.  Silverman fired back saying "@SteveCase You should be nicer to the last person on earth w an aol account" which lead Case to tweet "@sarahksilverman The sad thing is you're not that funny."
