Russell Crowe is booked on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, which airs Fridays, 10:00 p.m. ET/PT on BBC AMERICA

On May 7, Jonathan is joined by Oscar award-winning actor Russell Crowe.

Russell discusses his soon-to-be released action, epic Robin Hood directed by Ridley Scott.

Crowe boasts of his experience working with Ridley and says he is “one of the greatest visual artists of our time.”

And Russell admits it was hard to get into shape because of his Gladiator injuries, “It’s a big ask to get into that level of training again.”

Jonathan also congratulates Russell on recently being inducted to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Russell tells how he celebrated all night with his wife, “We were still outside with a with a vodka at seven in the morning... that’s why I married the girl.”

And when asked what is next for him after Robin Hood, Russell says he has no plans of yet but supporting his wife and her newly released album and enjoying time with their boys.

Also joining Jonathan is supermodel David Gandy, he discusses his successful campaigns with Dolce & Gabbana and working with such supermodels as Gemma Ward and Naomi Campbell.

He also says that celebrities like David Beckham should stick to their day jobs and that he found it tough to be accepted as a model, “I was laughed off for the first couple of years, I was told I was too good-looking,” adding “The look was all androgynous, skinny, and the models at the time resembled women more than guys.”

Comic Reginald D. Hunter and musical performance by rapper Dizzee Rascal round out the show.
