Siobhan Magnus 'It was wicked flattering to be compared to Adam Lambert'

Eliminated American Idol contestant Siobhan Magnus spoke to Monsters and Critics and other journalists via phone this morning (4/29), and expressed she was anxious to get back to her large family on Cape Cod and give her cat and dog a big kiss.

"A family gathering for us includes like, 30 people at a dinner, babies, all ages," said Magnus, who talked about her glass blowing and large family.

When asked how she took the comparisons to Adam Lambert, Magnus was appreciative of Adam's tutelage and said, "it is wicked flattering to be compared with Adam," and noted how much his advice and guidance made a difference in her approach to the competition.

As for musical shout-outs, Siobhan told Monsters & Critics she and her music-loving dad listened to the Dropkick Murphys, Aerosmith and Boston, all noted as some of their favorite local area Massachusetts' bands that she grew up with and loved.

Siobhan looked forward to playing in the Cape Cod Melody Tent, what she described as an intimate big venue where she first saw Hanson play live.

Siobhan also said that she felt it was important to she the unique sides of her personality. "I've always been an independent person and a different kind of person, but I'm very stubborn and strong-willed," she said. "It's important for me to get that across, that I'm not going to change to please other people. I do what I do because it rests well on my heart."
