Greg Kinnear, Katie Holmes cast in History's 'Kennedys'

History Channel will bring Camelot to the smallscreen, by dramatizing the Jack and Jackie Kennedy years on the channel.
Actor Greg Kinnear will portray President John F. Kennedy and Katie Holmes is cast as First Lady Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy.
Barry Pepper is to play Robert Kennedy and Tom Wilkinson has taken the role as Kennedy patriarch Joe Kennedy Sr.
"The Kennedys" will run as an eight-hour scripted miniseries on History in 2011.
Kinnear and Holmes starred opposite each other in the 2000 feature "The Gift."
"The Kennedys" will explore the personal relationships between the Kennedy brothers and their overbearing politically astute father.
Jon Cassar will direct. History notes that Steve Gillon, Ph.D., is the lead historical advisor for the project.
