Bret Michael's Celebrity Apprentice costar Sharon Osbourne worries for him

"Celebrity Apprentice" costar Sharon Osbourne was subdued at yesterday's NBC summer press day, sitting on panel for America's Got Talent between Howie Mandel and Piers Morgan, and she expressed deep concern for hospitalized Bret Michaels, who she has known for 30 years.

"I'm just devastated about what's happening to Bret," she said to M&C after the panel adjourned.

Osbourne also shared that during the popular reality TV series on NBC was battling two severe illnesses, swine flu and bronchitis.

"I got swine flu when I was doing 'Celebrity Apprentice' and then I got bronchitis," said Osbourne, who then was asked about Michaels on panel. "[He's] the nicest guy in the world and you start thinking of your own mortality. It makes you appreciate how lucky you are to be alive.

Osbourne ceded she needed to click down her busy reality TV schedule.. "I just turned down being a judge on a new show in England. I felt like I was doing too much..."

The show was described by Osbourne as "a talent show like the new 'Glee' based in the UK, finding singers and dancers who've been in choirs."

Osbourne is working on projects closer to heart and home. "I'm doing a project with Kelly that I'm doing after this and then I'm taking the rest of the year off."

Husband and rocker Ozzy Osbourne's rumored biopic is nearing a major announcement too. "It's been picked up and it's going into production. We're going to make a press announcement hopefully within the next two weeks. There's no cast yet, but we have a producer and we have lots of money and we're all starting."

She added that "somebody new" would be playing Ozzy.
