Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert wisely reupped at Comedy Central

US comedian Stephen Colbert is the BEST EPA/ANDREW GOMBERT
Probably the best two shows on Comedy Central were reupped: Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert's week night shows. The faux news casts provide a platform for serious guests to hawk their wares (books, film, tv show) while enjoying a comedic ribbing and back-and forth between the hosts.
Of late, Jon Stewart has taken a more serious tone with guests (Jim Cramer episode) and has called out the real news media and organizations for failing to thoroughly do their jobs. Colbert tends to find causes and organizations to trumpet and rally for, and recently took on the controversy of Gene patents on his show.
Colbert's deal extends through the end of 2012 while Stewart will go on nailing the career politicians until mid-2013.
"The Daily Show With Jon Stewart" and "The Colbert Report" are set to moderate the upcoming presidential election in a few years.
Here is Colbert's recent Gene patenting clip:

Stephen Colbert's April 15 interview with Kevin Noonan was highlightd by Colbert showing clips of Noonan's appearance on 60 Minutes earlier this month.
