HBO's 'Treme' a tasty muffuletta of a drama, begins April 11

Treme premieres on HBO on April 11, 2010. Set in New Orleans months after Katrina, this series revolves around the residents of the famed New Orleans district, including musicians and a restaurateur. HBO and "The Wire's" David Simon have used the post-Katrina New Orleans landscape to deliver a tasty new drama coming in "Treme" (9 p.m. Central Sunday April 11).
"Treme" takes place three months after Hurricane Katrina did its little number on the city.
The story is known. In 2005, New Orleans was battered by nature and devastated by human errors that wiped out one of the most historic and interesting American cities, sending people far and wide as neighborhoods were leveled, and still are vacant today.
"Generation Kill" and "Wire" showrunner Simon created "Treme" with Eric Overmyer. The cast includes Khandi Alexander, John Goodman, Clarke Peters, Wendell Pierce and Kim Dickens.
David Simon describes his new HBO show, "Treme," as "Glee," but with a few more black people to Stephen Colbert:
