Kate Gosselin is in an interesting position these days. Harvey Levin of TMZ explained it best this morning on Good Morning LA to Jillian Barberie, Kate is damned if she does and damned if she doesn't thanks to her ex Jon Gosselin.
Levin categorized the Gosselin fight as "my favorite case right now," as he shared that Jon Gosselin "is broke, not working," and hanging out with a party crowd and now trying to take the eight children away from Kate Gosselin's primary care.
"I'm not crazy about either one of them," explained the TMZ honcho, who said that Kate at least was out there earning a living and even built a dance studio in her basement to be near the children. "She has been the primary caregiver parent," added Levin.
Now on "Dancing with the Stars," Kate Gosselin's recent interpretive dance has earned poor scores and wide ridicule, but she soldiers on, and TLC believes in her - enough for a brand new show built around her life as a single mom.
The reality mom is now poised to star in her own new series, "Twist of Kate," as well as several "Kate Plus 8" specials, a rep for TLC confirms to PEOPLE.
"Kate Plus 8" specials will focus on her life as a single mother and costar the eight children, sans papa Jon.
In 12 episodes due to begin airing this summer, "Twist of Kate" will take Kate out of her familiar and put her in a transitory position, where she talks about her new life and explores other people's lives.
"I look at it as a loose concept," Gosselin told USA Today in an interview. "I want to be out there learning from others, helping to provide insight whenever I can, though I don't consider myself an expert on anything."
Monsters and Critics spoke to Kate Gosselin on Tuesday April 6 before the show, and asked her how she managed the nerves for performing. "It's hard but I have a great partner, and he keeps me focused, and I want to do well... ballroom dancing is so much harder than it looks."
