Doctor Who is a long-running British science fiction television programme (and a 1996 television film) produced by the BBC. The programme shows the adventures of a mysterious time-traveller known as "the Doctor", who explores time and space in his TARDIS time ship with his companions, solving problems and righting wrongs. BBC America has released the latest interviews with Matt Smith and Steven Moffat of "Doctor Who," as the premiere is just around the corner.
The new season of the British science fiction show "Doctor Who" premiered in the UK a couple of weeks back, and sees the Doc recruiting a new assistant, Karen Gillan.
Matt Smith replaces the previous Doctor, David Tennant, as number eleven in the progression.
Doctor Who fans, are you excited for the new season, which BBC America will start airing here on April 17?
Of course, the new Doctor won't be going it alone. Along with getting a new face and a new showrunner (award-winning lead writer Steven Moffat takes over the series this season), Smith will be joined by actress Karen Gillan as the Doctor's new companion, Amy Pond.
