Deadline Hollywood is reporting that actor Neal McDonough (Band of Brothers, Desperate Housewives) has walked away from a huge payday over sex scenes he refuses to do on camera.
Nikki Finke reports that McDonough was replaced by David James Elliott on ABC's new series "Scoundrels" earlier this week.
DHD claims that Catholic family man McDonough "was sacked" because of his refusal to perform in sex scenes with Virginia Madsen.
ABC knew that about McDonough, claims DHD.
McDonough also didn't do love scenes in his previous series, Desperate Housewives, NBC's Boomtown, or Medical Investigation.
"Scoundrels" is based on the New Zealand series "Outrageous Fortune."
Madsen is cast as the alpha female of a family of criminals who decides the family will go straight after her husband (McDonough, now Elliott) is sentenced to a long prison term.
