Jeff Garlin and Christopher Hitchens on Bill Maher's HBO Real Time Mar. 26

Bill Maher's Friday night salon of political and topical chat is back with new guests for Friday, March 26.

Maher's HBO show will host Jonathan Capehart, Rob Thomas and Randi Weingarten.  Jeff Garlin and Christopher Hitchens are interview guests.

The series "Real Time with Bill Maher" continues its eighth season exclusively on HBO, Friday nights, with an instant replay at 11:00 p.m., following the live presentation. 

Maher uses the show as a platform to debate and analyze contemporary issues.  The show includes an opening monologue, roundtable discussions with panelists, and interviews with in-studio and satellite guests.

The roundtable guests this week are journalist Jonathan Capehart, musician Rob Thomas and Randi Weingarten, president, American Federation of Teachers; comedian Jeff Garlin and journalist Christopher Hitchens are interview guests.

Other HBO playdates:  March 28 (1:30 p.m., 3:20 a.m.), 29 (8:00 p.m.) and 31 (11:00 p.m.)
HBO2 playdates:  March 26 (2:15 a.m.), 27 (9:00 a.m., midnight), 28 (7:00 p.m.) and 30 (10:00 p.m.)

Maher was the creator and host of “Politically Incorrect,” which was produced by HBO Downtown Productions and debuted on Comedy Central in 1993.  The series moved to ABC in 1997 and ran through 2002.

His most recent book, “New Rules:  Polite Musings from a Timid Observer,” made the New York Times best seller list, as well as best seller lists across the country.
