Rosie O’Donnell is headed back to daytime TV in a bid to fill in a void left by Oprah Winfrey's departure in 2011.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, O'Donnell is targeting fall 2011 for the debut of her new vehicle – when Oprah Winfrey will take her final bow on The Oprah Winfrey Show.
O'Donnell, 48, recently featured a documentary on HBO about diverse families, "A Family Is a Family Is a Family: A Rosie O'Donnell Celebration," and was a regular on The View with Barbara Walters for several years until she left in 2007. She hosted the Emmy-winning Rosie O'Donnell Show for six years before her her stint on The View.
O'Donnell also has been appearing on a two-hour show on Sirius XM Radio called "Rosie Radio."
