On Tuesday, March 9 with Jay Leno, Oscar winner Cristoph Waltz comes face to face with one of Dave Salmoni's tigers and Joan Jett performs "Cherry Bomb" before taking the couch to talk about the new film "The Runaways."
Rock legend Joan Jett performed then sat down with host Jay Leno to talk about the new movie “The Runaways” on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” (NBC, Monday-Friday, 11:35 p.m. ET).
“The Runaways” starring Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning is the story of the 70s iconic all-girl rock band of the same name. Stewart plays Jett and Fanning plays lead singer Cherie Currie.
When Leno asked if it was weird to have somebody playing her, Jett said, “No, after meeting Kristen -- she was so authentic and so real, and I asked her are you going to cut your hair? And she said yes, and it just gave me a sense of commitment because she was serious about it.”
The stars of the film will also be stopping by “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” this week to promote the film. Stewart will be Jay’s guest tomorrow, Wednesday, March 10 and Fanning on Friday, March 12.

* DID YOU SEE THAT ON THE NEWS? IN SAN DIEGO A RUNWAY PRIUS WAS GOING DOWN THE FREEWAY AT 90 MPH FOR MORE THAN 20 MINUTES. IT WAS ON ALL THE NEWS CHANNELS. A POLICE OFFICER HAD TO PULL IN FRONT OF THE PRIUS TO STOP IT. DID YOU SEE WHO WAS DRIVING? BALLOON BOY. IT WAS BALLOON BOY! WHAT ARE THE ODDS?
· PRESIDENT OBAMA HAS SIGNED A BILL TO INCREASE TOURISM TO THE UNITED STATES. TOURISM IS WAY DOWN. WHICH IS KIND OF SURPRISING. YOU'D THINK PEOPLE FROM OTHER COUNTRIES WOULD WANT TO COME HERE TO SEE WHERE THEIR AMERICAN JOBS ORIGINATED.
· RADIO HOST RUSH LIMBAUGH SAYS HE WILL LEAVE THE UNITED STATES IF HEALTH CARE REFORM PASSES. WELL, IF THAT DOESN'T GET THE DEMOCRATS TO RALLY NOTHING WILL.
· ACCORDING TO THE ARCHIVES OF INTERNAL MEDICINE, WOMEN WHO DRINK ARE LESS LIKELY TO BE OBESE THAN WOMEN WHO DON'T DRINK. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS LADIES? ALL THIS TIME YOU'VE BEEN ON JENNY CRAIG AND YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON JACK DANIELS.
· OVER IN ENGLAND, AN INVENTOR HAS BUILT A CAR THAT RUNS ON COFFEE. IT USES COFFEE FOR FUEL. YOU THINK GAS IS EXPENSIVE, TRY FILLING UP AT STARBUCKS.
