Crystal Bowersox recovered from her illness and performed a fantastic set on 'American Idol.'
It was revealed this morning (March 3) on local Los Angeles station KTTV "Good Day LA" with reporters Dorothy Lucey, Steve Edwards and Lisa Breckenridge that the singer was hospitalized yesterday with "diabetic complications."
Bowersox knocked the judged for a loop with her performance, the video is below courtesy of FOX.
MTV News was at the taping and reported that Ryan Seacrest asked Bowersox how she was feeling. "I feel good," she said. "I'm a tough cookie."
She performed Creedence Clearwater Revival's "As Long as I Can See the Light."
"That is pure, raw, natural talent. ... There's nothing forced, there's nothing pushed, it is just raw, natural talent," Ellen DeGeneres reportedly told Bowersox. "And I am so glad you are here today. I was so scared for you. So please stay healthy. We need you here. You are amazing."
"I know how sick you were, actually, over the last 24 hours. ... It wasn't just like catching a cold or something. You really were ill, and I didn't know whether you were going to back here this week," Cowell said of Bowersox's complications due to diabetes.
