One of the most anticipated new network series coming down the pipe from CBS is their remade "Hawaii Five-0" effort.
"Hawaii Five-0" was a solid hit CBS series that began in 1968 and ran for 12 seasons, ending in 1980. The show featured former Navy officer Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) and his go-to team of Danny Williams (James MacArthur), Kam Fong (Chin Ho Kelly) and Zulu (Kono Kalakaua).
Now Variety reports that "The Cleaner" and "Battlestar Galactica's" Grace Park is joining the upcoming CBS update of Hawaii Five-0.
Park will play Kona Kalakaua, cousin of squad member Chin Ho Kelly, who will be played by Lost's Daniel Dae Kim.
Park's character is described as a champion surfer in the police academy who is recruited to join the police unit run by Steve McGarrett, who will be played by "Moonlight" and "Three Rivers' hunk Alex O'Loughlin.
Filming of the pilot is set to begin on Oahu in March 2010.
