America's smallscreen sweetheart and mother of eight, Marie Osmond, has lost her teenaged son, Michael Blosil.
Blosil, 18, the son of divorced parents Brian Blosil and Marie Osmond, killed himself by leaping to his death around 9 p.m. Friday in Los Angeles, reports Entertainment Tonight.
Marie's brother, Donny Osmond, told ET, "Please pray for my sister and her family."
Marie Osmond release a statement Saturday. It says, “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Michael reportedly left behind a note saying that his severe depression left him feeling as if he had no friends and could never fit in.
In 2007, at age 16, Michael was entered into a rehab facility.
Marie shared that Michael was turning his life around in a past People magazine interview. He was finishing up his last year of high school while living with his mom in Las Vegas.
Donny and Marie Osmond have canceled their Flamingo Hotel show for Saturday night.
