'American Idol' Chikezie Eze detained in Neiman Marcus for credit card questions

One of the better contestants from "American Idol" in seasons past was Chikezie Eze.

The excellent singer, according to TMZ.com, was placed under felony arrest.

Chikezie was arrested at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills for felony identity theft.

According to TMZ, Chikezie claims he only went cologne shopping at the ritzy Beverly Hills retail store and presented his credit card.

TMZ claims the salesclerk called security and Chikezie was taken downstairs for questioning.

Chikezie tells TMZ, "They said they were waiting for someone to use the card and when they did they would pull them down."

TMZ notes there was question of the name of Chikezie's company listed on the credit account.

Chikezie added to TMZ, "I haven't done anything wrong myself and I'm pretty confident nothing is going to happen."
