Guest stars turn long running ordinary TV shows into must-see events, and the USA Network excels at the casting of talented actors to juice up their quirky line up of dramatic-comedy (or comedic-drama?) which has reigned supreme in the ratings, showing up NBC and other sister networks in the NBCU family.
Allow me a moment to rue the great "Kings", shown on NBC with a star-studded cast highlighted by "Deadwood" star Ian McShane as King Silas, a series which was not marketed or promoted properly. Had it been on USA...well, who knows.
Which brings me to Miguel Ferrer, another cast member from "Kings" and one of Monsters and Critics all-time favorite actors to watch, as USA has him guesting in the next episode of "Psych" along with the equally respectable thespians Chris Sarandon and Bruce Davison.
The tune in run down from USA for February 22 week:
TUESDAY 2/23, 10/9c
WHITE COLLAR - "Bottlenecked"
An old rival of Neal's (Matt Bomer) lays down a challenge: to see if either of them can create the impossible forgery – fabricating a unique bottle of wine owned by Ben Franklin but as the rival uses brutal and deadly tactics to achieve his ends, Neal quickly realizes that much more is at stake than bragging rights, and he and Peter (Tim DeKay) must figure out how to take the rival down once and for all.
Guest starring Jonathan Tucker, Ross McCall & Kate Levering
WEDNESDAY 2/24, 10/9c
PSYCH - "Think Tank"
Shawn (James Roday) and Gus (Dule' Hill) are recruited into a think tank to help prevent the murder of a business tycoon, but once the group has disbanded, they realize that one of the members plans to use the assassination ideas to kill the client instead of save him. Guest starring Chris Sarandon, Bruce Davison & Miguel Ferrer
THURSDAY 2/25, 10/9c
BURN NOTICE - “Good Intentions”
Fiona (Gabrielle Anwar) seems to get more than she bargained for when she becomes involved with a paranoid kidnapper, only to discover that he’s more than what he appears. Meanwhile, things spin out of control when Michael’s (Jeffrey Donovan) plan to stop a black operative proves to have much deeper consequences.
Guest starring Chris Vance & Carlos Bernard
