People are fascinated by the doings of Steven Seagal, so much so that his reality TV show "Steven Seagal: Lawman" based in NOLA will roll a sophomore season on A&E.
Steven Seagal has never sought publicity for his work with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office down in Louisiana.
However, over a span of almost two decades, he has regularly gone out on patrol and worked major cases. Crooks and bad guys are often caught off guard when being cuffed, shocked their cinematic hero is taking them in. Many times they look sort of honored and happy to be busted by the martial arts behemoth who has starred in over 40 films.
A&E renewed "Steven Seagal: Lawman" for a second season, announcing 16 episodes of the docudrama from ITV Studios, three more than the first season.
Seagal and his Sheriffs Department were filmed working during Mardi Gras.
The show is a mix of real police work combined with Seagal's wry sense of humor, and plays on the reactions of those coming into contact with him caught surprise by Seagal's moonlighting career in law enforcement.
