Friday night chat with Jonathan Ross features a sit down with the white hot award Oscar nominee Jeff Bridges to discuss his Golden Globe award winning role in Crazy Heart.
Jeff reveals he was most attracted to the role because of the music and performed and played all the songs in the movie. The original song performed in the movie, The Weary Kind, is also nominated for an Oscar in Best Original Song.
When asked how he prepares for such challenging roles, Jeff admits he pulls from his troubling past and how he’s lucky to have survived drugs in the past, “I do draw on those experiences...I think about what I did to myself, terrible, I'm lucky to be alive.” And when shedding pounds gained for Crazy Heart, Jeff relies on Jane Fonda for diet tips – “Jane Fonda turned me on to this great soup...consists of green beans, zucchini and parsley.” (See recipe below!!)
Also joining Jonathan is Hollywood rocker and bad girl Courtney Love and her band Hole.
Courtney chats about the evolution of her band into the “new” Hole and reveals they are launching the band in the UK first and planning their tour soon. Shyly Courtney also admits she has a big crush on Jonathan. Later Hole performs Samantha from their latest album, Nobody’s Daughter.
British actor and comedian John Bishop shares some laughs while Irish pop group Westlife also chats with Jonathan.
On the February 26 episode, joining Jonathan is Irish actor and Hollywood hunk Colin Farrell, rapper and businessman Jay-Z, Russian supermodel Natalia Vodianova and British actor/comedian Jason Manford.
