When we think of sage advice givers for relationships, Sarah Silverman and Madonna are the first people who pop up at the top of the list.
Apparently for Jerry Seinfeld and Tom Papa too, the hosts of the new NBC series The Marriage Ref, a humor filled reality show that takes on average marriages and their unusual impasse issues, and offers solutions.
Madonna, 51, is down two marriages now, her first union to Sean Penn ended with some alleged violence. Her second marriage to Guy Ritchie was one of the biggest, most expensive lawyer-filled dissolutions ever recorded.
Sarah Silverman, 39, has no marriage to talk of, except for a long standing relationship with Jimmy Kimmel which fizzled out last year. She is currently dating a staff writer/producer for "Family Guy" named Alec Sulkin..
NBC's The Marriage Ref, the Jerry Seinfeld-created show about warring couples that premieres on Feb. 28.
In the promo for the show, Alec Baldwin and Kelly Ripa candidly comment -- and judge who's right and wrong in real-life disputes between real-life spouses.
Other stars who will add to the mix include Larry David, Ricky Gervais, Matt Lauer, Cedric the Entertainer, Matthew Broderick and Martin Short.
"The Marriage Ref" officially premieres on NBC Thursday, March 4.
